Wilhelmsen Ships Service is seeking a digital solutions and engineering intern to be part of our growing 3D printing venture. 3D printing is poised to enhance supply chains for spare parts in maritime, and the intern will be supporting upgrades to our Digital Warehouse and working on digital supply channels that will enable our on-demand manufacturing pipeline. There will also be opportunities to work on new solutions with international and local stakeholders to enable new capabilities in our digital platform. The 3DP Digital Manufacturing Intern will have the opportunity to gain invaluable, hands-on experience in various parts of the digital supply chain that supports a dynamic operations environment, collaborating with various global teams in different functional areas, as well as designing digital solutions suited to customers in the shipping industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of new functions in our Digital Platform
- Support the management of worldwide delivery channels with global partners
- Assess network and suggest global areas of focus for network build-up
- Upgrade current digital fabrication parts with holistic manufacturing requirements
- Assess workflow and recommend improvements
Our Requirements:
- Able to commit for at least 3 to 6 months of internship
- Must be proficient in MS office applications
- Technical knowledge in manufacturing processes
- Some experience in 3D printing technologies
- Must work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Attention to detail and well organized
