This person will have the chance to work with major international brands across Asia-Pacific, on both digital and offline marketing projects and campaigns. Job brief

We are looking for a Data Entry Operator to update and maintain information on our client’s website system. Daily responsibilities include collecting and entering data in databases and maintaining accurate records of valuable company information. Our ideal candidate has essential data entry skills, like fast typing with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets and online forms. Previous experience as a data entry clerk or similar position will be considered an advantage.

Ultimately, a successful data entry operator will be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date and usable information in our client’s website.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures
  • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations
  • Scan documents and print files, when needed
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions

Requirements

  • Proven data entry work experience, as a Data entry operator or Office clerk
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
  • Experience using office equipment, like fax machine and scanner
  • Typing speed and accuracy
  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • High school diploma; additional computer training or certification will be an asset

Data Entry Clerk Job Duties:

  • Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
  • Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
  • Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format.
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.
  • Tests customer and account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data; reviewing output.
  • Secures information by completing data base backups.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
