Job Description

As the Assistant IT Engineer / IT Engineer, you will be responsible for Office IT and manufacturing centre IT matters, including network  security, and report to the functional manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of Desktop, Server, Network Device (Firewall, Router & Switches), Printer, etc
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in Workstations
  • Manage the internal VOIP network
  • Networking and troubleshooting in LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN environment.
  • Setting-up VPN with customers
  • Manage Windows 2003 / 2008 server and Domain environment
  • Provide end user IT support for both local and remote locations
  • Provide IT support for telephone system, access card system
  • Managing IT infrastructure for a production environment
  • Manage users' access right and all IT asset inventory
  • Administer documentation related to IT assets and maintain record of configuration changes
  • Implementation of IT policies, procedures and standard documentation
  • Provide training to staffs on basic software usage

Requirements:

You  will be a highly motivated and result driven person with excellent  communication and negotiation skills to build strong working  relationships with stakeholders. In addition, you possess:

  • Diploma in Information Technology, with relevant Certifications. Major in Network is preferred.
  • 1 year relevant experience in IT Systems and Network Support
  • Ability to speak Mandarin in order to liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts
  • Good understanding and strong technical skills in PC software and hardware technology.
  • Experience with windows and Linux servers & workstations
  • Experience in supporting network with 200 nodes
  • Understanding of LAN, WAN, Wireless, security, Microsoft product such as Windows 7/8/10, MS Office.
  • Knowledge in IBM clear case, tortoise SVN, PHP and Linux server, Google apps is an advantage
  • Experience in manufacturing network is a plus
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently, resourceful with strong problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, responsible, hardworking and willing to learn
  • Immediate starter is an advantage
