Role Responsibilities/Learning Outcome:
As a Mechanical Design Intern at VFlowTech, you will be part of a team that is developing flow battery which requires design of multiple mechanical components and perform flow simulations, structural analysis, load calculation, etc. The selected candidate will work on these areas. You will also be involved on various everyday activities such as, sourcing and procurement of different mechanical and electrical components, writing reports, perform experiments, etc.
- The intern will participate in designing of multiple mechanical components in battery like plastic tanks, container modification, design of piping, etc.
- Perform flow simulations, structural analysis, load calculation, etc. to ensure the design meets the requirement.
- Support the team during the fabrication of the product at the workshop.
- Support on various everyday activities like, sourcing and procurement of different mechanical and electrical components, writing reports, perform experiments in laboratory, etc
Role Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in bachelor or master’s in mechanical engineering
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Committed and self-motivated, a life-learner and good team player, able to work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment
- Must be proficient in 3D cad preferable Solidworks or AutoCAD
- Good knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD &T)
- Plastic mould knowledge
- Knowledge industrial automation equipment and product assembly and test fixtures
- Knowledge with sizing of pneumatics and motion components such as servo motor and mechanical drive components
- Knowledge in design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
