The Electrical Service Engineer must be able to work effectively in a collaborative, fast paced environment providing experience on energy storage systems. They will demonstrate strong project management, development, and execution capabilities. The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker, fast-learner, collaborative worker, and self-starter with a passion for the renewable energy industry holding a track record of success thriving in a high growth environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing support to customers in either an installation, repair, or maintenance capacity.
- Own the resolution process for customer issues by successfully running diagnostic reports to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Always follow all health and safety procedures and strategies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Constantly strive to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction and work tirelessly to provide effective solutions.
- Ability to provide reports based on Quality, Analysis and Service Solutions.
- Recommends and develops product and process changes in order to improve system performance or to better satisfy customer or other user needs.
- Performs testing and troubleshooting of Battery Energy Storage Systems and other applications as required, and/or performs system software maintenance.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum experience of 3-6 years in control of electrical power systems, renewable energy integration
- High level of technical aptitude in electrical engineering and industrial automation control technologies
- Knowledge of control systems, power systems, inverters, battery systems, electrical design and software configuration. Knowledge of Power Systems Simulations would be an advantage.
- Demonstrates an interest in and understanding of others; Adapts to the team and builds team spirit; Recognizes the contribution of others; Listens, consults others, and communicates proactively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail
- Establishes good relationships with customers and staff; Builds wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organization; Relates well to people at all levels.
- Proactive and highly organized including timeliness and ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; Highly flexible and demonstrable problem-solving skills;
- Time management, co-ordination, accuracy, attention to detail and performing in a pressure environment are necessary
