Job Description

Responsibilities:

Learn about the entire business cycle, including customer journey mapping and client onboarding.

Assist in marketing efforts, including social media marketing and campaigns, branding, and positioning.

Gain skills in business communication and negotiation techniques through participation in vendor meetings.

Attend monthly 1-1 coffee sessions with the business owner for mentorship.

Complete additional tasks and projects based on interests and strengths.

Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a positive learning mindset.

 

Learn about the whole business cycle: The intern will gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire business cycle, including examples such as customer journey mapping, starting from gathering, capturing, nurturing, and closing leads. This will provide the intern with a holistic view of how the business operates and how different functions are interconnected.

Understand the importance of client onboarding: The intern will learn about the process and benefits of client onboarding. This will involve understanding how to effectively onboard clients to ensure their satisfaction and retention, and how it contributes to repeat business and word-of-mouth recommendations.

Assist in marketing, branding, and positioning: The intern will be involved in understanding the marketing and branding strategies of the company. This will include identifying unique selling points (USPs) and ensuring top-of-mind recall among customers. The intern will also have the opportunity to participate in social media marketing efforts, including planning and executing social media campaigns to drive brand awareness and engagement.

Business communication and negotiation techniques: The intern will be exposed to various business communication and negotiation techniques. This will include participating in meetings with vendors alongside the business owner and staff, and learning and applying techniques such as BATNA (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement) and other negotiation strategies.

Monthly 1-1 coffee sessions with the business owner: The intern will have the opportunity to have monthly one-on-one coffee sessions with the business owner to tap into their expertise and experience. This will provide a valuable opportunity for the intern to learn from the business owner's insights, ask questions, and gain valuable mentorship.

Additional tasks and projects: The intern may be assigned additional tasks and projects based on their interests and strengths, which may include conducting market research, analyzing data, assisting in business development initiatives, or contributing to the development of business strategies.

Professionalism and punctuality: The intern will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and punctuality in all their responsibilities, including attendance, meeting deadlines, and communicating effectively with the team.

Learning and growth mindset: The intern should approach their internship with a positive learning and growth mindset, being open to feedback, actively seeking opportunities to learn and improve, and demonstrating a willingness to take on new challenges.
