Finance / Accounting Intern (Fulltime / Part Time)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Day to Day

• Process UniCredit Bank AG, Singapore Branch (“UCB SG”) expenses payments (Accounts Payable)
• Check on daily outstanding reconciliation statements for items allocated to accounts and processed item accordingly
• Prepare tax invoice billing (Accounts Receivable)
• Process receipts of payment from branches, subsidiaries and Head Office (“HO”), include processing bank-in cheques received from UniCredit Services S.C.p.A,., Singapore Branch (“UCS SG”)
• Process foreign currency invoice payment, foreign currency disbursement for UCS SG, FX conversion via trade access
• Provide tax invoice number upon other department request
• Check and follow up on monthly outstanding cheque list received on 1st working day of each month
• Prepare daily MAS compliance reporting

Periodic (Depending on duration of internship)

• Regulatory reporting
• Prepare Suspense Accounts Recon (Other Assets and Liabilities Reconciliation)
• Posting monthly provision entries (include Audit & Tax, Regional cost allocation, HO allocation and UCS GOV allocation)
• Posting loan loss provision entries (Specific Loan Loss Provision (“SLLP”) entries)
• UCB SG fixed Asset depreciation (include any additions, disposal)
• Process Hanoi Rep Office expenses (entry posting)
• Update General Loan Loss Provision (“GLLP”) as and when received from HO
• Prepare UCB SG GST returns
• Yearend Closing (yearend provision, cost allocation billing)

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English
• Integrity and professional ethics
• Expertise in numbers and knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting
• Good self-initiative, agility and eagerness to work and learn in a multi-cultural environment
• Excellent communication, analytical and teamwork skills

INTERNSHIP DURATION:

Minimum 3 months commitment. Preference for candidates who have a longer commitment period.

Open to candidates who can commit on a part time basis (at least 3 days a week).
