Job Description

Under minimal supervision, responsible for coordination of the organization's strategic plans to ensure the continued successful growth and profitability of the organization. Research organizational positioning, conducts environmental scans, and performs financial analysis to support business and strategic planning. Identifies and evaluates acquisitions, divestitures, and organic business opportunities that are in line with the organization's long-range goals. Responsible for market intelligence monitoring, market research, market intelligence, and knowledge management.


  1. Supports strategy, business development and/or corporate initiatives, including collaborating with business lines across Regional and Functional areas.
  2. Identifies, prioritizes, and assists in executing activities required to support strategies, priorities, and special initiative projects.
  3. Supports the prioritization of corporate strategic initiatives and evaluates investment opportunities for their strategic and financial value.
  4. Communicates and generates support for recommendations among business leaders across the organization.
  5. Compiles and analyzes financial information, and develops integrated revenue and expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
  6. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to management.
  7. Conducts industry, market, competitive, and stakeholder intelligence research and analyses.
  8. Where necessary support M&A activities including deal pipeline management, deal sourcing, commercial due diligence, and post-merger integration work initiatives.
  9. Maintain M&A content and support periodic reporting of M&A initiatives to senior executives.
  10. Work with leadership on the management of overall business strategy & long-range planning activities.
  11. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  12. Performs other duties as directed.

 

REQUIREMENT:

  1. At least University Degree in in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  2. Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment.
  3. Ability to handle multiple projects with proven success in synthesizing large data sets related to a wide variety of functional business problems.
  4. Demonstrated ability to express complex ideas, present results, and translate statistical and business terminology to various levels of management.
  5. Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
