UL International Singapore – Project Engineer (Medical Device Testing)

Under general supervision, independently manages execution and timely completion of basic engineering projects by analyzing project scope and determining project specifications, establishing test programs for product investigations, analyzing test programs for adequacy and sequence, examining samples for compliance with UL requirements, and preparing reports for clients. Assists in the development of UL requirements, test methods, and test equipment. Exercises Project Handler Signature Authority as Project Handler of record responsible for opening, maintenance, completion, and closing of assigned new work engineering projects. May exercise Review Signature Authority as assigned as Reviewer of record responsible for initial review, status review, and final technical review of all new work engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

• Handle projects: perform active medical device, IVDs or lab equipment construction check and tests, issue test reports and complete projects within lead time;
• Handle customers: arrange project in optimal way based on resources, solve technical queries in religious attitude, communicate in efficient way and maintain good partnership with customers;
• Coordinate between team members and provide technical support to sales staff;
• Perform other duties related to LHS (Life Health Safety) testing business and accreditation tasks;
• Share, exchange experience / standards / technical information with other colleagues
• Performs other duties as directed by superior.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Equipment/Instrument Engineering, or active medical related majors. 
• Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in product safety testing and the medical/electronic industry
• Experience in IEC/UL 60601, 61010 or 62368 testing is preferred
• Good team player, self-motivated and able to work independent
• Able to work under pressure and good communication skills required.
• Excellent client management and service skills.
• Training is provided for working professional without relevant experience.
• Role is opened to fresh graduates.
