Role Overview
This internship is designed for ambitious, commercially minded individuals who want hands-on exposure to enterprise technology sales in a high-growth environment. As a Sales Lead Development Intern at Trianz, you will work directly with our APJ sales and marketing teams to identify, qualify, and nurture prospective clients across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia-Pacific region. This is a learning-by-doing role you will engage with real pipelines, real prospects, and real commercial targets from day one.
This is not a passive, research-only internship. You will be expected to contribute to pipeline generation, support outbound outreach, and develop a strong understanding of how enterprise cloud transformation and applied AI deals are structured and won.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Research & Prospecting: Identify and profile target accounts across APJ including enterprise and mid-market segments — using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other tools. Build account intelligence briefs to support outbound prospecting.
- Outbound Outreach Support: Assist in crafting and executing multi-channel outreach sequences (email, LinkedIn, phone) under the guidance of senior sales team members. Help test and refine messaging for different buyer personas and industries.
- Pipeline Qualification: Support initial qualification of inbound and outbound leads through discovery conversations and follow-up communications. Document findings in CRM (Salesforce or equivalent).
- CRM Hygiene & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions, account status, and outreach activity. Assist in generating weekly pipeline and activity reports for APJ sales leadership.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry news, competitive developments, and buying signals across target verticals (financial services, manufacturing, technology, retail) to support account-based marketing and sales efforts.
- Collaboration with Marketing: Work with the APJ marketing team to align outbound campaigns with demand generation programs and regional events, supporting end-to-end lead flow.
- Sales Enablement Support: Assist in preparing sales collateral, presentation decks, and competitive positioning materials tailored to APJ buyer contexts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, energetic, and genuinely interested in enterprise technology particularly cloud and AI as transformative forces reshaping how businesses compete.
Education: Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Technology disciplines preferred from a recognised university.
Experience: Prior internship or part-time experience in a sales, business development, marketing, or customer-facing role is a plus, but not required. What matters most is demonstrated initiative, a results orientation, and the ability to learn quickly in an unstructured environment.
The right candidate will be comfortable reaching out cold to senior executives, resilient in the face of rejection, and curious enough to understand what cloud transformation and applied AI mean in practice not just in theory. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa, or other regional languages is an advantage for coverage of specific APJ sub-markets.

- CRM & Digital Tools Proficiency: Comfort working with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
- Collaboration & Professionalism: Ability to work as part of a distributed, cross-functional team spanning Singapore, India, and the US — with a professional demeanour and strong ownership of assigned tasks.
