Job Description

Senior Executive, Finance (Choa Chu Kang)


The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC Centre involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.

Reporting to Senior/Manager (Finance), the key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Finance Manager in handling day to day operations of the Finance Department
  • Checking and/or raising Purchase Requisitions, Weekly Payments, Monthly Staff Claims
  • Ensuring that Purchase Requisitions, Vendor Payments and Staff Claims are processed timely
  • Checking Posted Purchase Invoice and Payment Journal entries for accuracy and completeness
  • Preparing/maintaining/reviewing monthly accounts schedules
  • Performing monthly reconciliations and analysis
  • Month end / Year end closing activities including Journal Entries
  • Managing Outstanding Fees due from clients
  • Handling Fixed Asset Counts and Asset Disposals
  • Attending to internal and external audit queries

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with Major in Accountancy
  • Minimum 5 years of proven working experience
  • Sound knowledge of Singapore GST and Financial Reporting Standards (e.g. FRS 116)
  • Hands-on with a “can-do” attitude
  • High degree of accuracy with a keen eye for details
  • Pro-active, self-driven and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and committed towards meeting tight deadlines
  • Independent as well as a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • IT savvy and hands-on experience in using Dynamics 365 Business Central and Sage 300 ERP
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, Pivot Table)
  • Available within short notice is advantageous
