Since October 2011, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THKMC) was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large.

THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sickfamiliespersons with disabilities, and children.  We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.

Job Description
  • Coordinate activities/events for residents, provide support during the activities/events and follow up on issues arising from the activities/events
  • Monitor and evaluate and review activities/events
  • Develop volunteer/donor opportunities
  • Identify potential volunteer/donor sources
  • Handle volunteer enquiries and recruit volunteers who are suitable
  • Handle donor enquiries and match donors with suitable opportunities
  • Research and review volunteer/donor policies and procedures, appreciation and recognition initiatives
  • Conduct THK Home tours, volunteer orientation and training
  • Run networking sessions for volunteers
  • Identify and source appropriate training opportunities for volunteers
  • Prepare operational procedures
  • Analyse and evaluate system generated volunteer/donor reports
  • Prepare write-ups on volunteer/donor activities/events
  • Prepare templates for official standard documents
  • Provide coverage in the absence of Senior Assistant, CP
  • Assist to plan and ensure smooth operations for THK DS celebrations and other events assigned, participate in the preparation of festive occasions and attend the Home’s celebrations and other events required
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the manager or superintendent

Qualifications

  • Diploma with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the social sector or equivalent of relevant experience

Other Information

  • At least 1 year’s experience in volunteer/donor management or customer relationship management
  • Event management experience would be an advantage
  • Cheerful personality
  • Possess a quality service mindset
  • Strong writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritise and multi-task are essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
