Since October 2011, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THKMC) was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large.

THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sick, families, persons with disabilities, and children.  We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.

[DH] Programme Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Part of a multi-disciplinary team to support skill-training programmes
• Work closely with the Programme team to ensure programmes rostered to do are delivered
• Plan, develop programme materials, design and implement group activities
• Ensure that resources like stationery and colouring sheets are replenished on a regular basis
• Maintain, uncluttered, clean and safe environment for the delivery of programmes
• Be the escort staff for medical appointments, joyrides and outings
• Work with volunteers to deliver volunteer led programmes
• Work with key workers to implement strategies for behaviour management
• Responsible for progress monitoring of achievement of residents’ care plan goals
• Responsible for maintaining the volunteer database

Qualifications

• Good communication, teamwork and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and meet assigned deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
