Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities – Assistant, Operations

Since October 2011, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THKMC) was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large.

THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sick, families, persons with disabilities, and children.  We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.

• Oversee and plan the day-to-day transport deployment for clients’ medical appointments/ TCUs
• Optimize transport planning in the most efficient way for stakeholders
• Assist the Head of Home in the supervision of drivers
• Communicate with drivers and different stakeholders to ensure trips are carried out promptly
• Plan daily deployment of vehicles and drivers and requests from the stakeholders
• Compute and process drivers’ overtime claims and cab charge fares incurred
• Oversee the maintenance and repairs, road tax, insurance renewal and vehicle inspection for the fleet of vehicles under the centralised transport system
• Track vehicles’ monthly utilisation rate
• Any other operational duties as assigned by the Head of Home

Qualifications

• NITEC / Higher NITEC in Logistics Management/ Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/Facility Management

Other Information

• At least 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in transport management and good sense of good direction
• Good in Microsoft Office especially Excel
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with other members of the team
• Comfortable working with children and adult with multiple disabilities
