THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sick, families, persons with disabilities, and children.  We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.

Job Description

The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.

Role:

The Social Work Admin Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions within the Social Work department. He or she will work closely with the social workers to ensure efficient operations and the delivery of high-quality social work services as part of the trans-disciplinary team.

This role reports to the Head of Social Work Department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Social Work Administrative Matters:
  • Manage administrative functions within the social work department, including manpower, resource allocation, and budgeting
  • Develop, implement and streamline social work administrative processes to ensure efficient operations and compliance with organisational and funders’ guidelines
  • Maintain and update SOP pertaining to social work functions
  • Oversee the team of social work assistants
  • Liaise with the bus vendors across the centres
  1. Liaising with Families
  • Collaborate with social workers and other trans-disciplinary team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of services for families
  • Support the communication with families through the Communication App
  1. Data Reporting:
  • Manage KPI data reporting related to social work services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare regular reports for stakeholders, summarizing key findings, trends, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with the trans-disciplinary team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance service delivery based on data analysis
  1. Trans-disciplinary Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other professionals in the trans-disciplinary team to ensure effective teamwork and coordination of services
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of activities for clients
  • Participate in team meetings, providing input and support to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration, respect, and professional growth
  • Contribute to value-adding projects to improve family outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
