THE TREE CAFE is an up-and-coming halal cafe brand that seeks to create an affordable cafe experience for all while also embracing local art and design. Our cafes are covered with murals painted/designed by young locals and we are branching out into the retail scene with a recent launch of merchandise designed in-house by our cosy team led personally by the co-creator of the cafe.
We're a relatively new team that is passionate about trying out different ideas to improve operational flow and customer experience and we are looking for team members that are out looking for an opportunity to join us on this journey of growth and fun. Whether it's vibing to our favourite k-pop songs at the cafe, experimenting on new menu items/operational processes or focusing during the peak periods to service customers - we're looking for individuals that are responsible, take initiative and have the desire to learn along with us. Whether it's coming up and executing operational processes, innovating new business ideas, servicing customers and improving overall customer experience - all will be at your finger tips, and we'll be right there with you!
In this role, you will come join us as part of the Operational/Business Development Team - you'll have first hand experience being involved in any projects that our cafe or multiple brands are engaging in - learn how to balance day to day operations with developing new business/operational processes as well as learning the ins of how to operate an outlet.
Responsibilites:
- Day to Day operations (Opening & Closing of outlet - Learning both Service & Kitchen area operational needs and processes
- Be involved in all on-going projects and planning for future projects
- Ensure that outlets are running smoothly
- Keep track of new ideas that will be implemented and their success/failures
- Enjoy the process & grow from experience!
Location and Working Hours:
- 5/6 days a week, 9 hours (Honestly can be flexible so as long as you can get the full experience of both Opening and Closing)
- We have locations at Pasir Ris - Downtown East, Dhoby Ghaut - The Cathay, City Hall - Funan Mall
and our main office is at one-north (Reporting locations can be decided based off ease of travel)
e.g to have a wide range of experiences, being able to go to different outlets at least once to learn more about how different outlets operate
- Allowance: $700-$1000/Month
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Nil. Except please be at least 16 (We're an avid believer you don't have to study it to pursue it, so if you have not done this before but you're interested, this is a great time to try it out!)
- Skill-sets/Attitude-Best-To-Haves: Good Communication Skills (Team Player), Responsible and Committed, Trustworthy, Eager to learn
- Commitment: Full-time (5/6 days a week), minimum of 3-6 months
- Plus Points: If you're into K-pop because our cafe's discography is 70% K-pop (but we still love and accept you if you aren't)
