Job Description

Our client, a reputable International School is seeking a team player who encompasses editorial and event management competencies to join our dynamic marketing team, supporting the promotion of the school's top-ranked undergraduate and Masters programs by creating engaging content in both English and Chinese. Also providing event management support to ensure the smooth operation of some of our novel marketing initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

 1) Content creation and management

  • Develop compelling and engaging content for various marketing channels managed by the marketing team, including program website, English and Chinese blogsites, social media platforms and email marketing platforms. This includes writing, editing and proofreading contents in English and Chinese to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Utilize the abovementioned channels to distribute content effectively to relevant target audience.
  • Manage social media posting on owned social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Bilibili, WeChat, Weibo and Xiao Hong Shu.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Academic Directors, Student Ambassadors and alumni, to gather information and insights for content creation.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance using analytics tools to optimize reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to:
    • Implement content strategies that align with the team’s business goals and target audience.
    • Develop social media campaigns and initiatives that support overall marketing objectives.
    • Conduct market research on current trends, topics, and interests of relevant target audience to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.
    • Identify industry trends and competitor analysis to optimize content performance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices in Southeast Asia and Chinese-speaking markets to continuously improve social media presence.
  • Collaborate with agencies, designers, videographers and photographers to create visually appealing and impactful content.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials.

2) Event planning and execution

  • Manage the team’s events calendar and support the planning and execution of events, such as virtual open days, webinars, case competitions and business camps. This includes coordinating logistics, managing registrations, preparing event materials, and providing on-site support as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, and transportation.
    Support the Student Ambassador program in terms of induction support, coordination and manpower deployment, in close coordination with the respective program managers.

3) Administrative duties

  • Manage our repository of marketing campaigns in adherence to relevant advertising guidelines.
  • Manage our centralized mailbox and ensure timely and professional responses from the team to inquiries and requests from external stakeholders.
  • Assist in carrying out day-to-day administrative and operations-related tasks where necessary.

Qualifications

Suitable candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communication.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills in English and Chinese languages with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent coordination and organization skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Proven experience in managing social media platforms, particularly on Chinese platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, and Xiaohongshu.
  • Proficiency in content management systems and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms to track and measure performance.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong team player who is meticulous, resourceful, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with Google workspace, MailChimp, Salesforce and design software.
  • Prior experience as a Content Specialist, Copywriter, or Event Planner, preferably in a multicultural or international environment, is a plus.
  • Additional skills in videography, photography, blogging and vlogging will be an added advantage.

1 year contract to permanent.
