Job Description

Eatbook Editorial / Writer Intern - Jan 2024 Onwards [Media Internship]


What you will do:

Editorial –

  • Ideate and pitch stories of quality to editors
  • Write articles consistent with the tone and quality of Eatbook’s articles
  • Attend events, tastings, and other out of office work that assist in the creation of articles

You should possess:

  • Strong command of English and can articulate your points concisely and coherently when writing
  • Pleasant and professional disposition, to represent the company professionally at all times
  • Sharp nose for news and love to tell stories
  • Social media savvy – adept at spotting trending/viral content across social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube and TikTok)
  • Versatile and able to write well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • You regularly monitor social media feeds to gather trending news topics
  • You have good communication and verbal skills
  • You stay up-to-date with current events and are active on social media, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok
  • You value your internship experience as a time to learn and explore new ways of creating engaging content

What you will gain:

The intern will undergo a holistic journalism experience at Eatbook, learning how to pitch ideas, research, attend media events, interview profiles, communicate professionally, etc. The intern will also pick up digital media skills such as SEO and basic image editing but the majority of the intern’s time will be spent writing.
