About the Organisation and the Role
Our client is a key public-sector agency entrusted with ensuring Singapore’s environmental sustainability and resilience. Its mandate includes developing and operating critical infrastructure that supports waste management, energy recovery, and long-term national sustainability goals.
As part of the engineering team, you will contribute to major nation-building projects that integrate:
Next-generation waste and resource recovery facilities – advanced mega-infrastructure combining treatment, recycling, and energy generation.
Large-scale waste-to-energy plants – essential operations that convert waste into electricity, reducing reliance on landfills while powering Singapore’s future.

Key Responsibilities
Project Development (Project 1 Construction Phase):
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and agencies on design and construction.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and overseas/local Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
Operations & Maintenance (Project 2):
- Lead and coordinate a technical team to support daily operations.
- Manage preventive maintenance and overhauls for turbines, generators, motors, switchgears, and control systems.
- Administer service contracts and supervise contractors’ work.
- Support SOP development, plant testing programs, and safety procedures.
- Perform rotating shift work as needed to ensure continuous operations.
- Contribute to safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in any Engineering discipline, or Nitec in any Engineering course.
- For Diploma holders: Preferably 3 years of relevant working experience (fresh diploma graduates may also be considered).
- For Nitec holders: Preferably 6–8 years of relevant working experience.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant Certificate, Workplace Safety & Health Officer) are an advantage.
- Strong technical foundation and analytical skills; knowledge of solid waste management is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Navisworks and Primavera P6 preferred.
- Mature, independent, resourceful, and a good team player.
- Willing and able to work in waste-to-energy facilities and perform rotating shift work (including weekends and public holidays).
