Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Intern to support our Finance team in budgeting, management reporting, financial analysis, and audit-related activities. This role is ideal for students or fresh graduates seeking hands-on exposure to financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business performance reporting, and finance operations in a dynamic business environment.
The intern will work closely with finance and business teams to support data analysis, reporting processes, budget tracking, and the preparation of information required for audits and management reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Assist in monitoring budget performance and analyzing variances against actual results.
- Prepare and maintain management reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for business stakeholders.
- Perform data gathering, validation, reconciliation, and analysis to support financial and business decision-making.
- Assist with monthly reporting activities, financial close processes, and management reviews.
- Support budget administration activities, including data preparation, maintenance, validation, and system updates.
- Assist with finance system enhancement initiatives, process improvement projects, and user support activities related to budgeting and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather operational and financial information and resolve data-related queries.
- Support audit requests by compiling, organizing, and validating supporting documentation.
- Maintain and improve reporting templates, financial records, and data management practices.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial controls, reporting efficiency, and business processes.
- Assist with ad hoc finance, reporting, and analysis projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in financial planning, reporting, and business analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of data.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have
- Basic understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, or accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
- Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Interest in business partnering and performance management.
