Starpixel Studios – Game Development Intern

Starpixel is a Singapore based game development company with a strong focus on 3D games and anime style art. We have a multicultural and diverse team with a flexible work environment, and an emphasis on training our staff to utilise next gen software. We also encourage interns to pitch game ideas they are passionate about 🙂 

General Tasks

• Implement game functionality as per communicated design
• Translate design specification into functional game
• Communicate with other team members to establish effective pipeline and integrate media assets
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Job Requirements:

• Experience with Unity and C#
• Experience with game assets (ex: meshes, animations, materials) and working on game engines from Unity Asset Store
• Has implemented saved game data, like player progress, in a structured and extensible format like JSON or XML
• Experience with optimizing a mobile build is a plus
• Strong teamwork skills
• Proactiveness to problem solving
• Ability to identify errors and troubleshoot
