JOB DESCRIPTION
The DevOps (Infrastructure) Engineer will focus on enhancing the performance and reliability of our systems with their knowledge of micro-service scaling best practices. Our ideal candidate has strong working knowledge of Docker technology, Linux and maintaining/setting up a cloud-based infrastructure. Experience and knowledge of Kubernetes is very helpful. This position will report to the Principal Architect and be tasked with ensuring the cloud-based infrastructure is able to cater for the needs of our growing clientele.
Job Description
- Ensuring continous enhancements to our development and production deployment process
- Build and deploy new infrastructure services
- Work closely with Development team members to enhance the performance of our enterprise solution
- Setting up IDS/IPS Systems and improving DDOS prevention
- Maintaining and ensuring a secure-cloud configuration.
REQUIREMENTS
- Professional experience in hands-on solution architecture or system administration
- Solid development experience with Linux or other UNIX variants
- Experience administrating Linux Servers in production.
- Knowledge in Docker and container orchestration.
- Knowledge in a Configuration Management tool (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible etc)
- Knowledge in RDBMS, Monitoring, Alerts
- Experience with Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, GIT, Maven, Sonar and Continuous Delivery Automation.
- Good Communications skills in English.
