St. Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC) is a non-profit organisation for the education, training, and care of persons with autism and their families.  

SAAC comprises St. Andrew’s Autism School (SAAS) and St. Andrew’s Adult Autism Services (SAAAS), serving children, youths and adults with autism. SAAAS runs two Day Activity Centres (DACs) at Siglap and Sengkang, and St. Andrew’s Adult Home (Sengkang), Singapore’s first residential facility designed and built to meet the needs of adults of autism.


SAAC seeks to enable people with autism to lead dignified and meaningful lives. We invite interested and qualified persons to join us to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of our students, clients and residents; to provide behavioural support, life skills training, family support and public education.

Teacher Aide

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • To assist in lesson preparation and support teachers in co-teaching
  • To assist students in areas of self-care, grooming and toileting
  • To assist and support teachers in collecting simple data on behaviour and progress of students, whenever needed
  • To work with teachers in classroom management matters such as planning and implementing student’s behaviour plans, lesson progress, etc

Learning Outcomes

  • Assist in gathering information, implementation and evaluation of individualised educational goals and objectives for students, mentored by Teacher and Reporting Officer.
  • Engage in the familiarisation of the school curriculum
  • Gain a fundamental understanding of Autism and how it impacts the living and learning in a person and apply learning.
  • Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment, with regards to the safety and well-being of students and others.

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum ITE
  • Experience in dealing with children and youths with autism will be an advantage

Mon – Fri; 8.30am – 6pm
