SPH Media Limited – Content Producer Intern (Chinese Media Group)

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Content Producer Intern to join the HeyKaki team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Chinese content creation, especially for Gen Z audiences, and wants hands-on experience in video production for social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. You will support our content producers in developing engaging content through editing, brainstorming, and research. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Edit short-form video content, such as street interviews, for social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok

- Transcribe and translate subtitles between English and Chinese accurately and efficiently

- Contribute content ideas that resonate with Gen Z viewers

- Assist content producers with brainstorming, conducting research, and supporting on-set production

- Stay informed about the latest social media trends to help identify content formats and topics likely to perform well

Requirements:
Effectively bilingual in spoken and written English and Chinese; Strong interest in creating entertaining and informative Chinese-language content for young audiences; Basic video editing skills such as using CapCut or similar tools; Familiarity with social media platforms (especially TikTok and Instagram), and understanding of engagement drivers; Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach

Learning Outcomes:
Interns will gain hands-on experience in content production from ideation to post-production; Develop storytelling and creative pitching skills for Gen Z-focused social media content; Improve bilingual proficiency, particularly in translating and localising Chinese and English subtitles; Learn practical video editing techniques using tools like CapCut or similar platforms; Be exposed to audience engagement strategies on TikTok and Instagram; Work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative team environment; Build a content portfolio featuring videos produced during the internship

Interns will receive hands-on training through job shadowing and guided mentorship from the HeyKaki team. They will be taught skills such as video transcription, translation, and the basics of production. Depending on their progress, they may have the opportunity to lead the production or execution of a content piece under the supervision of a producer.
