Job Description
As an Intern Visual Journalist, you will support the newsroom in producing compelling visual stories for digital platforms. The role integrates photography, video, graphics, and interactive elements to create comprehensive, data-driven visual narratives that enhance news and feature coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Produce visual content including photography, video, graphics, and simple interactive elements
Support journalists in translating data and information into engaging visual stories
Assist in filming, photographing, and editing content for digital platforms
Create visual assets such as charts, infographics, and social media visuals
Collaborate with reporters, editors, and designers on multimedia projects
Organise and manage visual assets in accordance with editorial standards
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Journalism, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Design, or related fields
Strong interest in visual storytelling and digital journalism
Basic skills in photography, video production, or graphic design
Familiarity with editing or design tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) is an advantage
Comfortable working with data and transforming information into visual formats
