The opportunity
In the Data Science Intern role, you’ll gain valuable experience and have the opportunity to shape the technological trajectory of our business as an early member in a start-up. You’ll be working closely with our Lead Data Scientist and Computer Vision Engineer, and be a part of a small but collaborative community in ENGIE Factory, passionate about using technology and innovation to solve climate change.

What you’ll be responsible for
Work as a member of an agile team on high impact projects
Solve interesting cases using Python, SQL and other geospatial analytics tools
Collaborate with the tech team to improve existing features and to build new features from scratch
What you’ll gain from the internship

Enhance coding, data science and geospatial analytics skills; get exposed to new tools
Gain insights into the internet industry as well as the regional renewables market
Build up data science, presentation and communication skills
Who we’re looking for
Students who are having or currently pursuing a degree in data science, computer science, statistics, economics, math or applied sciences
Good understanding and knowledge in data processing using SQL, Python (hands-on experience is a plus)
Good understanding of using version control (Git)
Good understanding of libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, geopandas, etc., is a plus
Understanding of PostgreSQL and PostGIS is a plus
Please note that only Singaporeans or PRs and students from local Polytechnics or Universities will be eligible for this position.
