The Job

As a Node.js Engineer, you will create impact by:

• Working with project managers to translate features into stories
• Working with front end engineers to define APIs
• Architecting and leading large-scale backend development work
• Delegating logically segmented work to junior engineers
• Reviewing and improve the technical abilities of junior Node.js engineers

Ideal Candidate

Expectations of a Node.js Engineer:

• Experienced in server programming
• Proficient in Node.js and Javascript
• Knowledgeable in HTML and CSS
• Experienced in working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis or MongoDB
• Able to demonstrate a good understanding of REST
• Experienced in deploying applications to cloud services such as AWS or Azure
• Experienced in optimizing server performance
• Logical in thinking with natural problem-solving skills
• A self-Learner (i.e. Able to make good assumptions and search for solutions proactively)
• Able to communicate excellently
• Able to contribute effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and collaborative programming environment
• Able to lead projects through the completion of all phases of application development.
