The Job

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor the receipt, booking in and dispatch of all Cargo/Goods and record data in accordance with working procedures.
  • Ensure all goods received are booked into the company within a timely manner and record data as necessary.
  • Load and off-load vehicles in a timely manner and assist with labelling and palletizing.
  • Respond to operational staff/customer queries.
  • Deal with Inventory requirements, logging incoming and outgoing shipments that are stored in our warehouse.
  • Ensuring regular audits are carried out on the inventory held in the warehouse.
  • Keep the warehouse tidy and organized.
  • Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant transport laws and procedures and restrictions.
  • Liaise with Warehouse Supervisor to identify any changes in work instructions and/or processes where appropriate, thus providing reliant handling of Cargo/Goods.
  • To undertake duties in accordance with defined processes and work instructions
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships alongside customer solutions and any other relevant departments.
  • Understand individual customer needs and requirements.
  • Respond to operational staff/customer queries.
  • Be polite and respond positively at all times to customers/colleagues.
  • Always wear supplied Company B&H uniform, maintaining a smart and professional appearance at all times.
  • Wear your company identity card at all times
  • Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to the care of equipment.
  • Be aware of the standards expected in respect of the job, attendance, timekeeping and behaviour and the standards set out in the handbook and the HR Policy Manual.
  • Adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy, and Dress Code policy.
  • Make sure you understand and adhere to any existing policy changes or any new policies.
  • Complete annual appraisals in line with B&H standards with the Line Manager.
  • Ensure all mandatory training is completed within the required time frames and refresher courses are completed prior to the expiry date.

Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent customer service skills. You will have excellent attention to detail.
  • Work pro-actively using own initiative.
  • Proven communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Possess appropriate IT skills.
  • Forklift Training
  • Industry experience
