The Job

In this role, you will oversee the IT requirements of the company and be responsible for :

• Maintaining core IT infrastructure including hardware, software, desktop and shared infrastructure, data networks, servers, and fixed telephony
• Managing software and hardware licensing, maintenance and renewals
• Monitoring and testing system performance 
• Scheduling and implementing maintenance fixes, system and security upgrades
• Serving as the primary point of contact for escalating system issues and providing timely response to escalations
• Managing procurement of all IS&T-related equipment 
• Developing the budget, as well as obtaining competitive prices from contractors, to ensure cost-effectiveness
• Monitoring all IS&T Infrastructure assets and ensuring data security 
• Providing server & network administration, maintenance & operation of servers and help desk support
• Assisting the Shared Services team to coordinate and plan essential central services as well as with general maintenance, major repairs, remodelling or construction projects for the office space
• Planning best allocation and utilisation of office space and resources.
• Supervising and managing contractors, vendors and third-parties
• Managing Door Access and Closed Circuit TV System

The Profile

• You have a Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• You have strong experience in Windows and Mac Platform
• You are familiar with LAN/WAN, Wireless, VLAN, Cloud, system administration and infrastructure architecture and firewall administration
• You have an understanding of IT management policy and quality management policy to ensure processes and procedures are designed to comply with these policies and guidelines.
• You have expertise with data storage systems and storage administration – SAN and NAS
• You are able to work independently with dedication and a sense of urgency to support end-users
• You possess good communication skills and are able to serve different stakeholders
• You have a positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
• You have a strong aptitude for analytical problem solving
