Singapore River One

SRO is responsible for place management of the entire Singapore River precinct – including Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, and Robertson Quay. It is the intent of SRO that the river is managed as one precinct – one destination – with specialized programs and service delivery methods.


Singapore River One is now looking for an interns for the role of Project Assistant (Placemaking & Singapore River Heritage Project); Singapore River One is looking for commitment between 3 - 6 months.

Job Description

Project Assistant (Placemaking & Singapore River Heritage Project) reports to the Placemaking team and is responsible to:

  •  Assist Placemaking team on the Singapore River Heritage Project, which is an overarching project that seeks to discover, examine, and present historical facts and artefacts across the three quays of Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, and Robertson Quay
  •  Assist to arrange, conduct and document heritage interviews with stakeholders (Landlords and Businesses who have been at Singapore River prior to its development as a residential, lifestyle and entertainment hub)
  •  Assist to perform literature review and research on heritage facts, stories, matters relating to the Singapore River Precinct
  • Assist with Placemaking day-to-day operations
  •  Assist Placemaking team in the management of projects/campaigns timelines
  • Assist in conducting surveys for Placemaking Initiatives, which also includes the collation and analysis of data collection.
  • All other miscellaneous/ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Placemaking team
  •  Assist in other SRO events logistics/projects as and when required.

 

Requirements

- Undergraduate in History, Arts History, Museums Studies, Social Sciences and Geography preferred
- Strong interest in urban heritage and placemaking
- Willing to be on the ground and engage with stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- A good team player in a small office setting
