Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent is tasked to support PD events and corporate relation (CR) function within the department. In addition, he/she will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to entrench the organisation’s position as the charity choice.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Fundraising Event (Events)

  • To plan and execute (operational and administrative) a series of in-house fundraising events based on PD annual fundraising strategy including but not limited to:
  • Singapore Red Cross Grateful Heart Day (Flag Day)
  • Singapore Red Cross Benefit Gala Dinner
  • Singapore Red Cross Year End Carnival
  • Singapore Red Cross Charity Concert
  • Singapore Red Cross Charity Golf
  • Singapore Red Cross Movie Fundraiser
  • Singapore Red Cross Charity Walk
  • Singapore Red Cross Digital Fundraising Challenge
  • To brainstorm and design new and innovative fundraising model & concepts;
  • To seek, apply and submit grants, partnerships and sponsorships opportunities;
  • Coordinate and manage volunteers, partners, agencies and vendors for fundraising projects, campaigns and work relates functions when required;
  • Coordinate liaise and track donor engagement and outreach activities;
  • Source and appeal for donation in kind in support of events (pre to post);
  • Review and refine events SOPs and create new SOPs when necessary.

3rd Party Fundraiser (CR)

  • Seek out potential individual, corporate and/or private institution to organise fundraising activities for SRC benefits.
  • To record, track and monitor all 3rd party fundraiser endorsed and approved by the SRC;
  • To provide support (ops and admin) to 3rd party fundraiser organiser on need basis;
  • Maintain and increase the no. of donation box participating organisation under the SRC donation box placement programme;
  • Review operational and documentation SOPs periodically to ensure department efficiency administratively and operationally.

Corporate Donors (CR)

  • Seek out potential individual, corporate and/or private institution to make a cash donation toward SRC cause;
  • Maintain and build a long-term relationship with donors, providing periodic updates and engagement to ensure continuity of donation to the SRC;
  • Maintain a record of corporate donor and carry out regular annual contact tracing exercise to ensure database accuracy.

Others

  • Handle public enquiries for donation, sponsorship, community projects or overseas disaster appeals;
  • Perform fundraising functions during overseas disaster appeal, when required.
  • Participate/attend events as requested by Head/PD;
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by Head/PD.

JOB SPECIFICATION

 Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum Polytechnic Diploma with min. 2 years of relevant working experience. More experienced candidate may be considered for executive position.

 Skills and Knowledge

  • Event management background or knowledge advantage but not a must;
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, meticulous, independent yet a good team player;
  • Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to people of all levels and confidence in working with senior leadership;
  • Able to think out of the box, coming up with non-traditional solution and processes;
  • Good organisational skills, task oriented and outcome driven;
  • Enjoy working with agencies, partners, vendors and volunteers;
  • Great command of spoken / written English and a second national language, presentation and communication skills.
