1. Volunteer Induction Session (50%)
MVD is currently revamping the Volunteer Induction Session (VIS) to provide more adequate, entry-level training for volunteers to equip them with the knowledge and soft-skills to represent SRC in public-facing events, programmes, and activities. This will require significant overhaul of the content and structure of the sessions for a more engaging and holistic training. The intern will be supporting the Assistant Manager-in-charge with the coordination of on-going VIS as well as the research for and development of the revamped structure.
2. Membership Services (30%)
Volunteers and members of the public may opt to take up ordinary membership with the Singapore Red Cross (SRC). For a subscribing fee or a one-time payment for life, members enjoy official association with the SRC which includes voting rights at our Annual General Meetings, and perks such as invites to Members-exclusive events, membership packages, and discounts off courses conducted at the Singapore Red Cross Academy.
The intern will assist the Manager-in-charge in the preparation of membership packages, the scheduling of monthly members-only courses in Standard First Aid+AED and Psychological First Aid+AED, and the repositioning of membership benefits.
3. Day-to-day Operations (20%)
Approval of Youth Member & General Volunteer registrations, attending to membership- and volunteer-related enquiries, and other duties as assigned.
