The Singapore Red Cross is a homegrown humanitarian organisation, dedicated to relieving human suffering, protecting lives and dignity and responding to emergencies since 1949. We serve the vulnerable through our blood donor recruitment programme, home and day activity centre for the disabled, elder aid, transport aid, family life aid, community health on wheels and community first aid. We build capacity and resilience through our training academy, and volunteer and youth development. Beyond our shores, we mobilise and translate contributions from the donor community to relief and recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts, with the aim of helping communities affected by disasters.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Working with a large team of dynamic individuals in the training section and administrative section, the Academy Intern - CFAR Training & Administration Executive Intern will assist with the execution of courses and events for the Centre’s range of learners in various industries ranging from workplace safety and health industries, education institutes and healthcare. The internship will gain a good understanding of the event planning and implementation of training courses in the first aid and life support industry with a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.
JOB PURPOSE
- Project Manager of a capstone project under Life Saving Event/Project.
- Assistant to conduct CFAR training with experienced CFAR Instructors.
- Performs Customer Relationship Management by interacting with our existing and potential learners by establishing a delightful experience.
- Assist the CFAR Executives in documentations, updates of SOPs and consolidate training reports and training hours of CFAR Instructors.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Operations
- Conducts training assignments as scheduled by Course Scheduler.
- Provides support to overall CFAR projects and events such as community outreach activities.
- Manages the administrative and logistical needs for the workshops and micro-learning courses prior to the pre-course run.
- Handles the post-course and workshop administration such as attendances, evaluation and feedback by learners and training records of CFAR Instructors.
- Manages and supports the content creation for CFAR Social Posts with MarComms.
Any Other Duties
1. Perform basic office, classroom cleaning and maintenance.
2. To fulfill and maintain compliance to the PDPA requirements.
3. To fulfill and maintain compliance to the SRFAC requirements.
4. To fulfill and maintain compliance to the ISO 29993:2017 requirements.
General Qualities and Qualifications of Applicants
1. Possess minimally a GCE ‘O” certificate.
2. Singaporeans, SPRs or foreigners are welcomed.
3. Applicants who completed their Year 2 or Year 3 of their studies are preferred.
4. The students should be enthusiastic and responsible with a positive attitude towards a variety of work assignments.
5. An interest in customer relationship management will enhance their enjoyment during the internship programme.
6. Undergoing Provider and Instructor courses will be part of the internship period. Interns are required to pass from the respective courses.
Additional Skills & Knowledge
1. Good command of both spoken and written English.
2. Excellent computer literacy; in the use of Words, Excel and PowerPoint.
3. Basic knowledge of the use of Canva for content media creation purposes.
4. As some of our customers are Mandarin-speaking, knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
