Job Description

1. Hospitality Coordinator

Job Scope

The Hospitality Coordinator assists the Hospitality Manager for all travel and hospitality related matters for the Festival, including:

  • Liaison with visiting filmmakers and festival guests on travel arrangements, and making bookings for flights and accommodations.
  • Preparation of daily itinerary and programme for visiting filmmakers, festival guests and participants.
  • Coordinating with artiste liaison officers and volunteers on airport transfers, local
  • transportation, and any other hospitality arrangements for visiting filmmakers and festival guests and participants.
  • Liaise with Singaporean filmmakers and festival guests on all participation arrangements
  • Together with the Programme Team, assist to manage the arrangement and coordination of SGIFF Guests who participate in offscreen events including Talks, Panels and Masterclasses, Networking sessions, meal requirements and per diem allowances (where applicable)
  • Manage the registration of invited industry guests, visiting filmmakers and participants, and assist in the preparation of welcome kits
  • Oversee and Manage the smooth running of the Festival Lounge together with the Hospitality Assistant, including the execution and coordination of networking and social events.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of relevant experience in either entertainment, hospitality or performing arts industries, film production, arts management is preferred.

At least a Diploma or Degree in a related discipline. 

Strong organizational, management and communicative skills. 

Responsible, meticulous, good problem solving skills and able to meet deadlines.

Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in other languages is a plus.

Proficient in Google Docs/Sheets/Excel

Ability to multi-task and react swiftly to changes in a fast paced environment

Confident interacting with all levels of people

Driven, proactive,able to work independently and yet a team player.

Period of Engagement: 

August till 5 Jan 2024. Part Time in August, full time from September to 5 January 2024.

There will be a two week unpaid break from 15 December to 31 December 2023.

The project fee offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

 

SGIFF currently has a hybrid working policy in place with time split between the office and working from home. Closer to the festival dates and various events, more time will be required at the SGIFF office or at various venues.
