Singapore Art Museum opened in 1996 as the first art museum in Singapore. Also known as SAM, we present contemporary art from a Southeast Asian perspective for artists, art lovers and the art curious in multiple venues across the island, including in the historic port area of Tanjong Pagar.

Job Description

The Biennale Office is the team at SAM supporting and managing the planning, organising, and delivery of the Singapore Biennale, working across multiple functions including planning, production, programming, publicity, and outreach.

The Biennale Intern would be joining the team at an important juncture in our preparations for Singapore Biennale 2025, supporting the team’s work across different areas, with a focus on programmes, outreach, and live events.

Intern Responsibilities

• Work with the Biennale Office team, assisting on multiple aspects of the project, assisting on multiple aspects of the project, but particularly for programme and outreach, as well as live activations in the Biennale programme

• Supporting marketing administration, including content coordination and management for the Biennale website

Requirements

• Available to commit full-time (Monday to Friday) for a minimum of 3 months (up to 6 months), starting from Aug/Sep

• Interest in and prior experience working in contemporary art and/or arts and cultural events

• Demonstrable background or familiarity with arts management, arts and cultural programming, and/or production management will be useful

• Strong command of the English language, spoken and written
