Job Description

Project Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our SMP Team. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is looking to gain hands-on experience analyzing data for the disability sector. As an Intern, Data Analyst, you will be part of the key players in supporting our team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities / Work Areas

  1. Perform cleaning, validating, organising raw datasets from multiple Excel sources. 
  2. Restructure the raw datasets into formats suitable for Power BI dashboards with Python
  3. Generate relevant dashboards, visualizations and ad-hoc reports that effectively answer key business questions
  4. Assist with the migration of existing excel reports to automated dashboards.
  5. Participate in cross-divisional/team meetings to clarify data needs.
  6. Prepare comprehensive documentation of all procedures and scripts for effective knowledge transfer 
  7. Provide support on any ad-hoc data requests or data projects

Requirements

  • Proficient in Python, Excel (Pivot, tables, formulas), PowerBI
  • Strong understanding of analytics fundamentals
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field
  • Has an interest in the social service sector and in using data to drive social impact
