Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team as a hardware engineer to build improvements to our smart lock and other hardware systems. You would playing a pivotal role in shaping the experience of more than 1 million users. 

As a hardware engineer intern, you should be comfortable with hardware engineering software, programming languages and operating system software. You should also be a team player with a good attitude.

Learning objectives

· Gain a better understanding of how hardware components work with the IoT systems

· Acquire hardware and some software engineering skills

· Acquire project management and leadership skills via spearheading new initiatives

· Hone critical thinking skills by ideating feasible solutions to further improve the design and functions of current systems

Responsibilities:

· Testing hardware components individually and in tandem with external computer systems.

· Analyzing systems data in order to make changes to the hardware configuration.

· Completing functionality and performance tests on final product.

· Creating specifications and documents for components and completed computer systems.

· Collaborating with software developers to ensure the hardware functions for its intended purpose.

 

Requirements:

· University graduate

· Knowledge of:

o Hardware engineering software (such as Altium Designer, Orcad, Cadence Allegro)

o Programming languages (such as C++)

o Hardware description languages (such as Verilog)

o Operating system software (such as Linux and UNIX)[JOZE1] 

o Electronics tools (such as soldering irons and magnifiers)

· Good communication and teamwork skills
