Job Description

Purpose and Scope

As a Creative Intern, you will be part of the Marketing team that supports across Sembcorp’s different business units. Reporting to the Design Lead, you will be working with various stakeholders and liaising with creative media/digital agencies to implement marketing initiatives for both internal and external stakeholders.

This role will provide you with opportunities to exercise your creativity and gain exposure to varied touchpoints ranging from; traditional media (ATL/BTL), digital marketing (Display Advertising, Social Media, Email Marketing, digital dashboard), spatial design, website design, tradeshows/events materials, sales collaterals and video development. Candidates with a firm grasp in animation techniques, fundamentals, and software will be a plus.

You are also expected to be proactive in engaging your internal stakeholders, understand the competitive landscape and propose creative concepts via different platforms to support various projects and campaigns.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop and adapt creative content for both traditional and digital platforms. These include short duration videos/ flash or animated images. Traditional materials should include out-of-home media and print advertisements.
  2. Strong understanding of social media trends, digital marketing concepts, best practices and strategies UX/UI and visual development for products such as: Dashboard, Mobile app, Reporting platforms
  3. Create and deliver motion graphics for various media platforms
  4. Work closely with internal stakeholders and support the development of marketing materials such as sales kits, brochures, flyers, tradeshow concepts etc.
  5. Liaise with creative/ media agencies entities to deliver desired output of the project/asset
  6. Independently manage and keep track of projects, tasks and materials on hand
  7. Conceptualize, plan and develop the customer journey for exhibitions and showcase spaces.
  8. To provide support for any other related duties assigned

Major Challenges

  1. Quality standard and brand compliance must be kept to a high standard.
  2. Maintaining creativity and proposing new ideas/themes to agreed marketing and/or brand strategies
  3. Pitching of concepts/ideas to stakeholders and senior management on a regular basis
  4. Strong command of English and comprehension ability to understand and express company products and services

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Diploma/Degree in Media Design/Advertising or the equivalent
  2. Experience in creating the following is preferred:
    1. Website design and content development
    2. Motion graphics and/or video footage editing
    3. UI/UX and visual design – Dashboard, App or similar platforms
    4. Brand guidelines and visual documentations
    5. PowerPoint presentations – creation of slides artwork and animation, advantage will be given to candidates with demonstrated good PowerPoint design skills.

Skills/competencies & Preferred Characteristics

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models, be comfortable presenting concept and ideas and having a good command of English.
  • A solid understanding of design, copy, web practices and staying up to date on the latest graphic design techniques
  • Excellent skills in content creation, branding and social media marketing
  • Proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Video Editing/ Production, HTML5, Website content management (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet), PowerPoint. 3D animation(C4D Modelling, rendering and animation) is a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise and manage a considerable workload
  • Ability to adapt to a changing business and market
  • Brilliant interpersonal, communication skills and able to present your project ideas with stakeholders confidently

Prior knowledge, experience or interest in the energy sector or engineering background will be advantageous.
