Science Centre Board – Science Educator (KidsSTOP)

What the role is

We are looking for a dynamic candidate to take up the post of Science Educator, KidsSTOP. The Science Educator, KidsSTOP will be responsible for planning, developing and conducting programmes for pre-school and lower primary school children. Besides writing and devising lesson plans in line with the overall objectives of imparting STEM concepts to young children, the incumbent will also be involved in outreach and community programmes, as well as areas of research pertaining to science and early childhood education.

What you will be working on

He/She is required to develop and fabricate teaching resources and materials, ensure good classroom management and promote a safe and exciting learning environment, by imparting positive values and encouraging good playing habits, interaction and participation. He/She will also be involved in quality floor interactions and ground operations to ensure good visitors’ experience.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate should have good experience/knowledge in science or early childhood education, with at least 2 years of relevant working experience in hospitality, attractions or education establishments. Good written & spoken English with interest in Science and a cheerful and out-going disposition is a requisite. Candidates with a passion for working with children; trained in drama or music will have an added advantage. He/She must be able to work on weekends and public holidays.
