Schott Singapore Pte Ltd – Software Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION

This Intern will be assigned to Senior Automation / Operation Technology Engineer and support his daily job, include 3 major projects and other ad-hoc jobs.

(A) Testing – testing of all the new software deployed

1. Writing test cases
2. UAT
3. Automated testing – develop unit tests, integration tests
4. Documentation

(B) Software monitoring – Take action if necessary

1. Monitor software logs
2. Read windows event logs

(C) Software maintenance & enhancement

1. Review existing software and identify potential bugs or logical faults
2. Make minor improvements to existing software for any new requests by stakeholders
3. Check in regularly with users for software issues
4. Trace bugs detected by users
5. Fix bugs
6. Support on new software development, data cleaning, data validation and data analysis
7. Enhancement of data security
8. Other requirements by Schott Management.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS

• Basic knowledge of software programming (Java, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Python, others)
• Strong problem-solver and creative thinker
• Good project management skills
• Meticulous, attention to detail
• Highly motivated and self-driven player
