NGW II is Schenker’s new warehouse management system (WMS) that is being rolled out to countries in Asia Pacific. The NGW II Plan Team is responsible for capacity and demand management, and to provide presales support to the organization. As part of this team, the intern will provide presales support to market Schenker’s WMS to internal and external customers. Activities include requirements gathering, system solutioning, solution prototype development and solution presentation. The role will also involve research and analysis of emerging technologies and technical innovations such as warehouse automation to identify opportunities to further enhance the WMS.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Presales support
- Requirements gathering
- Systems solutioning and prototype development to showcase how WMS can meet customer requirements
- Present solution to customers/stakeholders
- Document solution to support business development
- Improve sales kit (presentations, costing template) and presales engagement process
- Research into emerging technological innovations in the supply chain industry
- Capacity and demand management
- Assist in the capacity and demand management process
- Develop tools (eg Excel macros, RPA, Power BI) to streamline the process and reporting
