Job Overview:
AGV/AMR technology are one of the most important pillars of Industry 4.0, and among these innovations, the electric motor drive is the most fundamental yet essential to the advancement that "drive" the industry. Most of the popular electric motor drive solutions use the conventional but inefficient and inflexible direct-drive motor systems with/without gearbox. The goal of this project is to research and develop the next-generation electric motor drive system for AGV and AMR based on the latest breakthroughs in permanent magnet synchronous motor, artificial-intelligence control and vision, IoT and advanced sensors. This position is created to support this new R&D direction at Schaeffler.
- Support in designing and developing the electrical, control and communication systems for the electric motor drive.
- Support in the building and testing of the prototype.
In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by his/her superior that are essentially related to his/her duties.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Knowledge in electric circuit analysis and construction; knowledge in electric motor, power electronics and communication is a plus.
- Knowledge in Python, C/C++ and embedded platforms (e.g. Arduino, ARM, etc.).
- Knowledge in mobile robots is a plus.
- Hands-on attitude.
- Willingness to learn new things.
