River Valley Irregulars Pte. Ltd. – Frontend Web Developer Intern

Job brief

We are looking for a Frontend Development Intern to produce a scalable platform. You’ll be part of a startup team that’s responsible for the full applications development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Frontend Development Intern, you should be comfortable with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility and work independently. We'd like to meet you if you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies and can take responsibility for all of the technical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work with start-up team and project manager to ideate solutions for our platform

• Translating web designs into technical implementation

• Write technical documentation

• Test application to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade applications

• Ensure security and data protection settings are prioritized

• Build features and applications with a mobile-first approach

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in the three core technologies of front-end development HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript

• Understanding of Web Development best practices

• Good knowledge of developer tools in the browser

• Initiative and ability to test, debug and monitor your own code

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Great attention to detail

• Organizational skills

• An analytical mind

Good to have

• Basic knowledge of Git

• Experience with CSS frame work (Bootstrap, Materialized, Bulma, Tailwind)

• Experience with any web application development frameworks (Angular is a huge advantage, React, Vue, Svelte)

• Basic knowledge of serverless backend services (Firebase, Supabase, Appwrite)
