We are a peer-powered organisation focused on empowering peers (or persons who have experienced mental health conditions), driving the peer support movement, and harnessing the value of lived experiences of our peers to change mindsets and shift perceptions towards mental health in society. We also apply co-production principles in developing our initiatives.

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern with a strong interest in youth mental health to join Resilience Collective as a programmes intern. The youth mental health team looks at designing and implementing peer-led initiatives and programmes to create safe, non-judgmental and supportive spaces for youths experiencing or at-risk of mental health challenges. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of conceptualising and delivering RC’s work, with a focus on youth mental health initiatives. You will assist in conceptualising and developing frameworks and content for youth peer support programmes, including a toolkit and training, developing and co-facilitating youth resilience education workshops, and youth mental health digital resources. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Research

  • Develop and conduct surveys and focus group discussions to inform programme development

  • Assist in conceptualising and developing frameworks and content for programmes, toolkits, workshops, digital resources and outreach events

  • Facilitate / Co-facilitate workshops and outreach events

  • Other general coordination and administrative duties

 

Requirements:

  • Keen learner, resourceful and self-directed.

  • Excellent teamwork skills, strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Familiarity with developing programmes, toolkits, workshops and events in the mental health / social service / community sector preferred.

  • Personal lived experience of overcoming mental health issues would be an asset.

  • An understanding of, and enthusiasm for Resilience Collective’s vision and mission is also essential.
