Company Profile

Welcome to Reluvate Technologies! We are a home-grown technology startup, specialising in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Advanced Analytics space.

We were founded by graduates of AI Singapore’s apprenticeship programme in 2019. We started with only 3 of us, and we have grown to a team of more than 10 people today. At Reluvate, our dream is to build autonomous organisations (AOs). We believe that with good AI design and automation, companies can be run independently with minimal human intervention. This frees up time for people to do important work that they care about.

Reluvate’s main focus is consulting right: the development of unique AI solutions tailored to the company’s goals and needs allows Reluvate to design and build relevant and sustainable solutions right from the get-go. This strength has appealed to a diversity of clients, ranging from small and medium enterprises to multinational companies, and across many industry horizontals – from finance to manufacturing. We are also one of the few technology companies chosen for project NOVA!, a national AI project, led by MAS, to generate insights on financial risk.

Please consider joining us if you are interested in being part of a high-energy startup that aims to grow together with you, and with many interesting problems to solve. You will be collaborating with fellow developers, product managers, user experience designers, and operation engineers to build and deploy solutions from start to end, and get first-hand exposure in seeing how the work you do supports the intended users.

Job Description

Frontend Engineer (Full-time/Internship)

We are looking for a FrontEnd Engineer who will design, develop and implement web applications for our clients. We believe that a clean, user-friendly interface is all that matters to the end-user at the end of the day. • Work under a team lead to develop frontend features for our projects • Be a knowledge resource for our junior hires (interns) • Work with our CTO to develop best practices for frontend development

Skillsets required:

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JS and ReactJS frameworks and front-end languages
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux
• Prior experience with developing applications with ReactJS
• Able to translate wireframes and designs to frontend features using React toolkit
• Experience developing user interfaces in consideration of SEO, user analytics and responsive designs
• Passionate about good engineering practices and processes – from code quality, productivity and performance optimisation, to automated testing and continuous integration/delivery
• Familiarity with Python, Machine Learning, AWS is a plus

Hiring Philosophy

Skills over qualifications. With great educational content online, we understand that some of you guys might have learnt programming/other skills from non-traditional routes. Having been there once and being a big believer of experiential learning, we are happy to take anyone so long as you can show you can perform the work required.

Minimum 3-month commitment. While we strive to be flexible in our working arrangement, from our experience with ex-interns/staff, we realised most guys still need some time to get in gear. As such, we are no longer accepting interns/part-timers less than 3 months, unless you already come with plug & play skill sets.

Fair remuneration. While we may not throw money like Big Tech does, we do believe in paying our employees fairly for their time and reward their efforts. We do regular salary conversations to ensure our employees are paid fairly for their output.

Technical testing for all. We require all hires to undergo a technical test, whether it is a tech or non-tech role. From our experience, hires who passed our test perform better, stay with us longer and generally, are happier with us. The test is NOT disguised as free labour (as it is often hypothetical), but it approximates closely to the real work you will be doing!

Hiring Timeline

As former employees, we understand the frustrations of not knowing when the hiring manager will reply to you (if ever). As such, we strive to be as forthcoming with our hiring process as possible. We try, but as a small company, do forgive us if we are a bit slower on timelines.

1. We process hiring emails every week. Do expect to receive a reply on the technical test on the nearest Friday. E.g. you send your CV in on Monday, you will receive a reply on Friday.
2. We also review all technical tests regularly and we will email all applicants to inform them if they passed or failed the technical test. For candidates who were not accepted, we will provide feedback on the technical tests as a courtesy for attempting it. Upon passing the test, we will schedule an interview with you.
3. Following the interview, we will reply to all applicants within the next 7 days to notify them of their acceptance or unacceptance. Similarly, we will share reasons for non-acceptance. As a heads up, sometimes it is not you, but just bad timing or because of the hiring quota.
