Job Description

Finance Intern 

(Jan 1 – 30 Jun, 2023, Full time Internship, Monday- Friday)

(Non-credit bearing internship- Requires LOA OR Credit bearing internship)

 

Faculty / Course Preferred:

Finance, Accounting

 


  •  The Finance Intern will be supporting Janssen Asia Pacific regional office with monthly/quarterly closing activities, as well as assist in simplification and process improvement initiatives. The Finance Intern will report to the Regional Senior Finance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Regional Office monthly/quarterly closing, i.e. Intercompany charges coordination, generate reports and ensure proper documentation
  • Assist in Regional Office simplification and process improvement initiatives (e.g. designing template to improve processing time etc)
  • Ensure Documentation and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) are updated

Assists in ad hoc projects/ assignments

 


REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Major in Finance or Accounting
  • Knowledge of general finance/accounting processes
  • Strong process improvement, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Results-orientated, creative, practical, analytical, attention to detail, self-motivated, and a team-player
  • Independent thinking and strong planning/prioritization are critical to success
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft excel is required
