Company Profile

A Hello, From Qavar

Qavar is an 8-year old software development and cybersecurity company. We help build custom-built apps and systems for our clients. We provide cybersecurity products and services. We also advise them on technology matters.

We select our clients carefully, and we work hard to help them, and build a strong relationship with them.

A Bit About Qavar's Culture

We're not a huge company. Things here are informal, and the founders themselves are technical. There's no insanity or drama in the company, because we don't believe in that. Meaning nobody throws unreasonable deadlines, or ridiculous demands. If a client throws us a challenge, we work together to solve the problem.

In technology, we use a bunch of different things. But we like Go (Golang) a lot, and Angular. At least where web apps are concerned. We always try to adopt and use modern tooling, where it makes sense of course.

Job Description

As a full-stack web engineer, you'll focus on designing, implementing or improving our web apps. At the back-end, that includes adding features, testing code, and optimizing performance. At the front-end, that means designing and implementing a well-thought out interface to your users, or improving an existing one.

You should also be fairly comfortable dealing with UI and UX, thinking through and implementing a well thought out interface to your users, and building the necessary glue to tie the front-end to the back-end well. That means JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

You’ll be working directly with the founders, who are all technical and therefore part of the engineering team itself.

What you’ll be doing

  • Conceptualize the user journey
  • Implement the UI/UX in your app
  • Connect your app to backend services
  • Architect the backend and its APIs
  • Write unit tests for the backend services
  • Be able to debug and test your code

Skills you will need

  • JavaScript
  • HTML/CSS
  • Familiar with simple source code revision control (e.g. Git), code building and deployment

Skills we would appreciate, but aren't absolutely necessary

  • Familiarity with Go (Golang)
