We are looking to hire a Software Developer intern to manage our back-end services and ensure a seamless interchange of data between the server and our users. As a Software Developer, you will learn to be responsible for developing and coding all server-side logic. You will also be required to maintain the central database and respond to requests from front-end developers.
• Support CTO on building spectacular Proof of Concepts (POCs) to Beta products
• Develop understanding of client’s system specifications, work practices and the nature of business development.
• Conducting analysis of website and application requirements
• Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules
• Architecting and leading backend development work
• Support end-to-end technical testing and implementation of solutions
• Developing back-end portals with an optimized database
• Troubleshooting application and code issues
• Integrating data storage solutions
• Responding to integration requests from front-end developers
• Finalizing back-end features and testing web applications
• Updating and altering application features to enhance performance
• Working both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team in an agile fashion.
• Support internal and external testing teams as they work on validating the overall system
• Recommend adoption of new technologies and applications to initiate enhanced solutions
• Passionate about coding and programming, innovation and solving challenging problems
Requirements:
• Any Nationality, preferred local singaporeans
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field.
• Knowledge/ Interest in PHP web frameworks including Laravel, and CodeIgniter.
• Knowledge/ Interest of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, Python and HTML5.
• Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming
• Proficient with code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, CVS, and SVN
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
• Ability to manage project, work with backend, frontend, Operations and Marketing team
• Able to make sure that the platforms keep up with high standards of scalability, stability, security and performance
• Able to work under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Good attitude
• Fluent in English language (Both spoken and written)
• Problem-solving skills and love technical challenges
