Internship – Repair & Development Engineering
Responsibilities
Development of High Pressure Water Jet Cleaning / Parametric study (EDM)
Laser Weld development project
Involvement in Process development / Evaluation / Design / Parametric study
Assist RDE Engineers with repair development projects pertaining to Pratt & Whitney commercial engine components such as PW4000, PW2000 and V2500.
Internship – Process & Methods Engineering
Responsibilities
- Assist PME in projects for cost / TAT / process / quality improvements
- Work on projects (eg. process improvement, process trials, repair process standard work) assigned by the engineers.
- Assist in reviewing and analysing scrap data/scrap trend.
- Assist in data collection which is used for repair development of turbine airfoils.
Internship – Tools Engineering
Responsibilities
- To support and assist Tool Engineer to draft and update of Work Instructions.
- To assist Tool Engineer in reviewing and monitoring of Tool Inspectors’ training program.
- To assist and support Tool Engineers in drafting of tool design using Autocad Mechanical Desktop and Nx 6 Unigraphic software.
- To involve in Achieving Competitiveness Excellence (ACE) activities.
Internship – Quality Control
Responsibilities
- Student will be required to support in QC operational activities, including:
- Participation in process improvement projects (VSM, Kaizen)
- Data compilation
- Standard QC processes Time study
- Perform Standard work and any other ad-hoc requirement by QC department.
Internship – Lab
Responsibilities
- Understanding the turbine blade repair process
- Checking the quality of coating repair.
- Learning metallurgical sample preparation and assist the lab engineer to do the basic evaluation.
- Able to hands on testing equipment such as SEM, micro hardness and microscope

Internship – Environment, Health and Safety
Responsibilities
- Support EHS engineers to implement environment and health & safety management system procedures, help prepare for AR
- The student will be required to work in a multi-functional team and support in EHS activities, including documentation, improvement projects, liasing with cell leaders / sups to manage projects and closely work with FEE
Internship – Facility Equipment Engineering
Responsibilities
- Assist in FEE bench-marking - study current system and produce PFD/UFD
- Assist FEE system improvement - modification to system and produce updated PFD/UFD
- Assist with FEE documentations eg RFQ, HRA, SWP etc
Internship – Operations
Responsibilities
- Students will be required to work in a multi-functional team and support in manufacturing operational activities, including:
Participation in process improvement projects
Liasing with vendors to manage projects, development of cycle time reduction plans, preparation of yield status reports
Facilitating tools and fixtures calibration and maintenance.
- To monitor, and analyze production parameters with the aim of process improvement and minimization of controllable quality risks and rework.
- Environmental, Health and Safety (review and updates) and training (creating and presentation of training packages to associates)
- Assist the Dept with projects on ACE, EHS, quality process improvements, cost savings, and operations (e.g. SAP labor clocking, ZTEM training administration).
- Sorting and creating SWP, SOPCVs, Support Supervisor
- Support supervisor on pre-event data collection and involvement in actual project event.
Internship – Customer Service
Responsibilities
- Help develop CS and Sales SOP's, support in Kaizen/ACE projects, update TAT file, etc
- Support CS Assistant Manager and CS in any administrative matters
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
