Think about building an internal Google Map for Cargo (an experience for freight corridor stakeholders) where every passing, minute, hour, day and month we help them predict how their cargo is moving and how round the clock risks can be mitigated with appropriate JIT predictions using proprietary ML algorithms.

We’re looking for a growth-focused marketing intern who thrived on getting things done. You will work closely with the Chief of Staff and sales and marketing team to accelerate Portcast’s growth and build / implement the strategic vision with the right processes and team structures.

Job Description

What to expect:
In this role as Marketing Intern, you will help execute the marketing vision and strategy. You will build a deep understanding of Portcast’s business model and customers. This is a business critical role as we continue to scale. The role will be responsible for implementing the marketing strategy that would lead to customer acquisition as well as being an essential partner to the companies that Portcast works with.

You will be responsible for the following workstreams:

  • Drive lead generation across multiple channels, including email, social media, referrals and partnerships.
  • Support SEO, back links building, paid ads and social media advertising
  • Build designs and templates for newsletters, website, blog, social media posts
  • Help build the content calendar and create content that can be shared across various channels
  • Work closely with cross-functional counterparts to ensure the right messaging for marketing campaigns
  • Plan and develop content marketing materials that can be used to enhance our client’s understanding of pour value proposition and products
  • Follow-up on inbound leads to nurture and convert them to customers
  • Leverage on marketing automation tools to streamline, automate and measure all marketing tasks and workflows.

We are looking for a smart, self-driven marketing enthusiast who has:

  • Demonstrated success in driving growth, marketing and customer acquisition efforts in a technology, internet and/or startup environment.
  • Experience in B2B marketing, with exposure to both small & medium size businesses would be a plus
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing with hands-on experience running end-to-end online campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability with CRM software such as Hubspot, Salesforce.
  • Data-driven and enjoys coming up with innovative ways to maximize growth, ROI and customer acquisition.
  • Eye for detail with strong communication, writing and proof-reading skills
  • Effective at balancing both strategy and execution - can think strategically, but can also roll up their sleeves to get things done.
